What’s New in SAP Sales Cloud 2002?
We are only in the first quarter of 2020 and we already have news from SAP. SAP Sales cloud will be updated in just a few weeks. Version 20.02 is not only aimed at improving one part of your client but also offers tweaks across the entire spectrum of the cloud. Tweaks? Yes, this word is used intentionally. Do not expect spectacular functionalities in this version, but a number of smaller innovations that you have been expected for a long time. Fast and simple solutions that make your work more efficient.
What’s new in integrated systems?
The integration of the Sales cloud with other SAP products is steadily deepening. This time SAP looked at the root of the organizational structure. If your business units, or the assignment of employees to business units, are replicated from ERP or CRM to Cloud for Customer, you’re sure to be interested in a new indicator: Only local edits. It is located in the organizational unit tab. When this indicator is set to “Yes”, this means that when copying changes from ERP/CRM to C4C, the organizational unit located only locally in C4C will not be deleted and the assignment of employees to it will not be changed. Organizational units with the “Only local edits” indicator set to “No” will be changed or deleted when replicating from ERP/CRM to C4C.
A practical innovation is the opening of individual objects, such as opportunities, offers, orders, contacts and others, directly via the URL link that uses their internal or external ID number.
Products in C4C
Convenience has also been brought to the Product Lists tab. You can mark multiple lines in the “Suggested Products” section to delete them. This is the end of single deletions.
The languages of each country have their own specific features that are included in the SAP Sales Cloud and can be used without restrictions. But for product ID, certain characters were not usable. However, some customers were required to use special characters such as: ä, ö, ü and “and therefore SAP supplies them in version 20.02. This will make the product labeling a little more diverse.
Business tips management
You may not want to sell some products in small quantities. This is usually not worthwhile for economic reasons, and it is a good idea to have a minimum threshold for the quantity you want to sell. How to solve this situation? Even in the Tips tab of the Products section, a field is added by default to specify the minimum quantity that merchants can offer.
Opportunity management
Every merchant is worried about whether or not a customer will eventually buy the product. To help you better estimate the final order result, the ability to set status and reason status at the Opportunity level has been added to the Sales cloud. The values are copied from the header to the item. Now your headache will be less intense again because even with large volumes of Opportunity products, you can accurately track the customer’s attitude to individual products. If a customer has reservations about some products at the beginning, this is a great opportunity to design similar ones that will surely please him.
Orders
The Quick View feature has already been extended to the Orders report in the Sales cloud. Sometimes you simply don’t need to enter the object. Especially when you are looking for basic information quickly. Now you can see the most important information when viewing the order list.
Of course, the aforementioned list of in SAP C4C Sales v20.02 is not exhaustive. You can also look forward to:
- Warning when there are multiple business areas,
- New features in mobile apps,
- Bulk changes/deletions in lists,
- Advanced data filtering capabilities,
- Improve notes and view note history for approval processes.
