CRM is Shifting to Mobile Technology
Good customer relationships are the alpha and omega of a successful business. Management of client relationship management (CRM) based on SAP solution has become a key tool to attract new, but also retain existing customers as well. That’s why the majority of companies across a broad spectrum of industries use SAP. Time is an important business factor nowadays. Therefore, many of the managerial and operational activities transferred from a computer to a mobile phone.
In the daily barrage of responsibilities and the need for a flexible response to the incoming requests from the environment, real-time interaction becomes a necessity. People need available and relevant data at the right time and in the right place to make the right decisions.
Modern technologies, starting from mobile devices and ending with wireless services, create the need for mobile applications (apps) development. In fact, apps have become a key tool for real-time communication.
An important prerequisite for the success of such applications is the speed, simplicity, and personalization option.
The need to return to the office in order to access the data with the advent of mobile applications is not necessary. Most of the tasks that managers only recently realized “from the table”, can now be done directly from the car, plane, at the client meeting, the golf course or simply sitting by the pool.
The customer relationship apps help companies in managing data, such as customer contact information, appointments, meetings, monitoring of equipment orders and their history, the state of manufacturing, marketing activities, and many other aspects of the business. CRM apps allow businesses more efficient and reliable use of data through a simple and fast approach. Companies that use CRM apps, significantly improve the efficiency of their business. The end-customer mobile applications help the users manage more efficiently and transparently their reservations, shoppings, share own experiences, acquire attractive and customized offer and many other services.
As shown in the U.S. survey from Gartner, by 2016, at least 50% of all corporate e-mail users will rely on mobile devices instead of a standard desktop, mainly because of the greater convenience of use of mobile devices in business applications.
Mobile application development projects in smartphones and tablets will be according to Gartner, by 2015, four times the number of classic PC projects. Smartphones and tablets will be more than 90% of the net growth of mobile devices, which will contribute to the primary application development trends.
The main topics of Apps development in 2012 include:
- Payment security,
- Near Field Communication – interactive opportunity to share information with the people around us and pay via a contactless mobile device,
- Location-Based Services – the opportunity to be informed about the current events, products and offers, and other available services in the near area.
Mobile technologies bring a lot of opportunities for the future to us and it is fully up to our decision to what extent we decide to utilize them.
